  • Dr Madayo Kahle

    Madayo, PhD in Religious Studies (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and Executive MBA (IESE – Business School), has over 15 years of experience in management, consulting services and strategy, he is collaborating with relevant global stakeholders in the fields of environmental sustainability, biodiversity, holistic education, animal welfare, citizen participation and consciousness and he advises and manages funds, corporations, SMEs and foundations in the sectors of renewable energies, real estate, wholesale, agroecology, sustainability and responsible economy in Spain and Europe.

  • Dr Mona Nasseri

    Mona is Interim Head of Schumacher College and a Trustee and Director of the Satish Kumar Foundation. She is an educator, researcher, and participatory design practitioner with over a decade of experience in higher education, interdisciplinary research, and organisational leadership. At Schumacher College, she has held senior academic and strategic roles, including Programme Lead for the MA Ecological Design Thinking and Head of Research. Her work brings together academic rigour, collaborative practice, and place-based approaches to support institutional development, holistic education, and community engagement.

  • Dr Jonathan Rae

    Jonathan is chair of the Satish Kumar Foundation and former head of Schumacher College 2011-2018. He is currently working with others on a new convening initiative that launches later this year, and he continues to commission nature-based books for Chelsea Green Publishing. Jon sits on the board of a number of community interest companies and charities. He has lived and worked for many years across southwest Asia and North America for the United Nations and other organisations. He holds his doctorate from the University of Oxford, his master’s from Stirling University and his bachelor’s from George Mason University.

  • Dr Rachel Sweeney

    Rachel is a movement artist and researcher whose work uses transdisciplinary, movement-based approaches to explore decolonised body–place relationships, cultural heritage, and ecological wellbeing within eco-pedagogy and sustainability discourse. She has taught in higher education in the UK and Ireland since 2006, is a member of the Regenerative Learning Network, and previously led the MA Movement, Mind, and Ecology at Schumacher College (2021–2024), with research fellowships and support from institutions including ANU, the University of Plymouth, the AHRC, Creative Ireland, and CSIRO.

  • Georgina Campbell

    Georgina is a designer, facilitator, and researcher whose work explores emergent processes, complexity, and how mindsets shape the worlds we create. A Schumacher College graduate with an MA in Ecological Design Thinking and co-founder of the Schumacher Magazine Project, she brings a relational, care-centred approach to regenerative design, collective learning, and the transformative potential of education.

  • Roberto Fraquelli

    Roberto designs interactive products, spaces, and experiences that invite participants to tune into curiosity, creativity, and more empathetic ways of relating to self, others, and the living world. He teaches regenerative design methodologies and facilitates playful, practice-based learning that celebrates hand-made approaches, embodied intelligence, and our ecological potential.

  • Valentin Gerlier

    Valentin Gerlier, scholar, songwriter, and musician, leads the Poetics of Imagination programme at Schumacher College. He is also a Fellow and Tutor at the Temenos Academy, Research Associate in Philosophy at the UC-CERES/Institut Catholique Toulouse and a Visiting Lecturer at several institutions including The University of Notre Dame (London Gateway) and the University of Cambridge. He is the author of Shakespeare and the Grace of Words (Routledge, 2022) and is his forthcoming book is entitled Heaven’s Wildflowers: A Blakean Theory of Nature, Culture and Imagination (Routledge, 2027).

  • Tamsin Treleaven

    Tamsin has over 18 years’ experience in Higher Education Administration, including 10 years at Schumacher College handling admissions and course administration, and previously managing front-of-house teams at Historic Royal Palaces and the Museum of London. A passionate gardener and musician, she holds an MPhil in Medieval Landscape History and a PGDip in Museum Studies, with current research focused on Early Modern Social History.

  • Sarah Hawkins

    Sarah is our Marketing and Communications Lead at Schumacher College, with over 15 years’ experience in design, brand strategy and communications. Also a graduate of the MA in Ecological Design Thinking, her work focuses on supporting eco-centric mindset shifts and regenerative approaches within organisations and education. Drawing on both industry leadership and lived experience as a Schumacher student, she now leads on the expression of our mission and vision.

  • Hannah Thomas

    Hannah Thomas is a UK-based fundraiser and producer specialising in arts, creative health, and environment. She works with charities and organisations to develop funding strategies, lead major projects, and build sustainable programmes rooted in community, care, and equity.
